We are aware HID mode has a few issues, and it is something we are hoping to improve in the future, but I couldn't say for sure when at this stage.

What was the problems you were experiencing exactly?

If you only connect 1 CDJ without a Hub, does the HID mode work better for you?

oui j'utilise un hub USB alimenté c'est un belkin tout neuf ou je relie mes deux CDJ
mon buffer size est au minimum mais même en l'augmentant cela ne change rien.
en plus cela ne viens pas de l'ordinateur c'est un macbook pro 2011 préparé donc trés performant.

What is the issue you are experiencing exactly when you say it is not "stable fashion"?

Is the audio lagging? Is the waveform lagging visually?
Are the CDJs not responding and controlling the virtual decks sometimes?

oui j'ai déjà contacté le support serato mais ils me disent depuis plusieurs mois qu'ils travaillent dessus mais je ne vois toujours aucune améliorations .
par exemple lorsque l'on veut recaler un track cela le décale encore plus, parfois on a des petites saute de lectures, et la forme d'onde est bien a la traîne, et les basses pauses problèmes dès qu'elles sont trop fortes ont peut avoir des sautes de lectures

But yes, issues we are aware of, and hoping to fix in the future. Heavy bass situations can definitely take advantage of the sensitivity of the jog wheels/platters, so I guess it would require decreasing the sensitivity, but not losing responsiveness at the same time.

non au niveau du contrôle tout répond très bien les cues/play boucles et hot cues tout marche avec une bonne réactivité, le problème c'est ce décalage qui ce produit quand on essaie de caler deux tracks, comme un saut de lecture, les basses même avec des patins antis vibrations, et la fluidité générale, j'espère que la prochaine version apportera surtout une grande stabilité et donc une grande confiance au setup comme avec les cd timecode

Again, I cant say for certain when there will be HID improvements specifically relating to the issues you are experiencing. If it not performing as well as you would like that you will have to stick with control CDs for now.

From your explanation it sounds like when you have two tracks in the mix, sometimes they are jumping out of the mix due to vibration? Have I understood you correctly?

Does this happen at home, or in other situations where there is not big source of vibration?

Is it at all possible you are able to make a video of this so I could understand your issue a bit better?

Hi, I understand this may be hard to capture, but anything would be helpful.

Perhaps if you could take a video of the screen showing the waveforms jumping around when you are not touching the platters and there is no heavy vibration.

This could be very helpful for us to see exactly what you are experiencing and hopefully have it sorted in the future.

chez moi c'est difficilement montrable puisque j'ai réussi si on peut dire a limiter ce phénomène grâce a des plaques anti vibratoires de bonne qualités .
mais en club impossible les vibrations trop fortes font sauter la lecture et le beatmatch

I have this same problem with HID. I'm using CDJ-2k with powered USB hub. But this happens only when subs are near the booth and bass is gettin heavy in the booth also. I tried to put some towels under CDJ's, but it didnt help at all. It would be nice to get it working soon as possible or I just have to take back USB sticks and throw SL box away. Cause its really annoying to use cues and other buttons from your computer. It is not DJing anymore. :)

I just simply can't tell you where it sits on the priority list. I myself do not know this information.

We can never reveal what fixes/features/improvements are coming in our software until they are 100% certain it will happen and there is an official announcement. Not only because I don't actually know when HID mode will be improved, but because if I was to tell you a certain time frame, and then it DIDN'T happen within that time frame, you would be disappointed, and I would have given you false hope.

I am not too knowledgeable about what it actually does and how it would help, but I would say it could be worth a shot. As you would have seen, one user did report that it helped him out a bit.

As I have said, we acknowledge there are issues with HID mode but I couldn't say when these issues will be resolved.

You are welcome to create another topic in the general discussion areas, or Scratch Live feature suggestions to request further improvement of HID mode.

This way, other users are able to chime in and keep the ball rolling on this issue. The more people that are asking for HID improvements, the sooner these issues will get looked at.

Yes, that button does not appear with the SL 4 because you are able to achieve the same result by the channel selection drop down menus above each deck.

Sorry I do not know exactly when 2.4.2 will become a final release.

I could not say for sure DJ 4CORT, but I advise holding off the upgrade for now, unless you have an urgent reason to do so.

intel core i7 processor? That should be fine to run Scratch Live, however if you are buying new, I must inform that our software currently does not officially support Mountain Lion: serato.com

We are currently still in progress with testing this Operating System thoroughly, and should be able to officially support it very soon.

You will however find many users on our forum currently using Mountain Lion and not experiencing any issues.

I can't see why not, but I can't guarantee its going to solve all your HID issues my friend.

I would highly recommend if you have the opportunity to do so, is test the computer to see if the performance is any better with your SL 4 and your CDJ 2000s, before you actually purchase it (or at least have the opportunity to return it.)
