When I open Itch and then try to connect my Vestax VCI-300 Itch controller, I get an error message that the device was drawing to much power and has been disconnected. I have already done/tried the following:
-updated my Itch software
-updated computer software (it is actually 10.7.3 Lion, it wasn't an offered choice above)
-tried starting Itch up while switching the controller to the "Thru On" setting
-used both USB ports (same story for both..)
-cleaning the ports on my Itch controller and my computer
-using external power source (DC 9v power adaptor)
-tried multiple computers (all Mac)
-tried multiple USB cables
After one successful gig, I put my controller in it's padded case and left. About a week later I took it out for another gig (didn't mishandle it or anything, it sat in one spot for a week..) and the message popped up..(Had to run to my buddies house and grab his mixer- I was very late, very angry.)

Hi MattTank,
wow, you've done well at trying most of the troubleshooting tips we suggest - so you get exactly the same error message on other computers?
Do you have any other usb items plugged in?

Thanks! I hate to bother you guys unless I absolutely have too - but yes, the same message on multiple computers. No other usb items plugged in, just the Itch controller!

I would suggest a powered usb hub, maybe borrowing a friends if you don't want to purchase one simply to test this, which I understand.
I'd think the problem is unit-specific however, due to having tried on multiple computers. And the error message was exactly the same on these other computers?
