I've been having a problem with the effects in deck B for the last 3 months. I've shut down the program and restarted several times over and I'm still having the problem. I thought that maybe there was time for some updates which led me to download Itch 2.1. After downloading 2.1, not only am I still having the problem with the effects in deck B (the effects cue just says EMPTY) but now the program isn't working at all. I'm thinking that the problem is either with the driver or the new program. I'm no expert on programs so please assist. Thank you.

Hi Whitelinez,
You might like to try and download and reinstall the drivers for the V7 here: www.numark.com (Page down and on the right hand side). When you say 'the program isn't working' can you explain this further please? Is it not starting at all? Is it crashing?
What are your full computer specs please? How to find them is right here: serato.com

I spoke with a IT specialist who resent me 1.7.1 along with the drivers for the V7 and everything is working again but I am still getting the error in Deck B. Before I spoke with the IT specialist, 2.1 was crashing. Everything seems to be fine now other than the continued error. My operating system is Windows 7 & 64 bit so & so (laugh). You know, all that jazz. What do you. Think the problem may be? I'm about to change the mixer I have from the Numark M6 USB to the Berhinger DDM4000 which already has its own built in effects. Do you think this'll work with the program I'm using? If you have any suggestions on how I can fix the error with Deck B's effects then that would be helpful as well. Thanks for responding.

Are you using any other usb items on your system, or using a usb hub? I have no experience with the particular type of mixer I'm afraid so couldn't comment - a post in the general discussion area may find someone who has however. Could you provide your full computer specs please?

Windows 7 Home Premium, Dell N5010, Intel(R) Core(TM) i3 CPU M 370 @ 2.40GHz 2.39GHz, RAM 4.0GB, system type 64-bit Operating System. Is this what you are looking for?

The only other things that I have connected to the USB ports are the external hard drive and a wireless mouse. Also the V7 designated as "A". In addition, I have another computer monitor plugged into the labtop for added screen space.

Yes thanks for that. Are you able to test without the extra monitor and/or mouse please?

tested without the extras plugged in. I also just got the ddm4000 mixer to go along with the v7's. still one side functions properly while the other doesn't.

I now have the DDM4000 and I used it this weekend and when I went was away from home and plugged up the equipment, initially both Decks indicated that the effects were in full function. The moment I went to use the effects in Deck B, the program began to skip and I had to restart the Itch (thank God I had my Ipod to plug in). Once I restarted the program, not only was I having that problem with Deck B, but I am now having that same problem with Deck A. This is the most unusual problem ever. I wonder would it hurt to switch the V7's from one side to the other. I you have any suggestions, please assist.

Switch them over for the purpose of testing. Do you have a link cable and two v7's?
Have you tried a different link cable?

switched over and am still having the same problem. what is a link cable. are you referring to the cable going from the v7 into the laptop or the link cable that connects the two v7's? I will change them both if need be.

It seems like there there may be multiple things going on here. So just to be sure can you confirm:
You're using 1.7 and the fx panel in deck A and B is appearing empty. (as per the pics - thanks for those by the way)
You engage fx when they appeared once on deck B and get dropouts?
Perhaps try raising your virtual memory - link: windows.microsoft.com
Can you have a look at your Task Manager at tell me how your CPU is doing?

I raised the virtual memory and I'm having the same problem. I opened my task manager but not sure what it is I'm supposed to be looking for to determine how my CPU is doing. The CPU column shows that Itch is active.

did you reboot after raising your virtual memory? It's not essential but may help. There should be a CPU graph there in task manager.

After restarting and raising the virtual memory, I'm still having the same problem. I've gone through the process of waiting until the program is running, then I'll turn on the V7's along with the mixer. I get the best results when I do this but if I do that, only side A will show the effects.

I'm still having the problem that I was having initially. The problem actually was never fixed. Still need assistance or to be referred somewhere if you guys have any suggestions. Let me know if we can reopen this discussion.

Hi Whitelinez,
It would appear this problem is still around. Can you let me know how large your library is please? Are you using an external hard drive?
