Hello guys,
I have a problem with my Xone:DX.
I purchased it a week ago so I tried to install itch 2.1.
After the installation I reboot my pc, so I connected my Xone.
When I opened itch he gave me a firmware update that I can't do because returned me the error:-1#
I thought then to connect the Xone:DX with my father's computer (Vista 64bit - AMD processor) and the firmware update went smoothly. Also I tried to mix a few hours with my father's computer, without any problem with itch 2.1. No dropout, no crasches. So I connected the controller to my computer and itch doesn't give me any more errors for firmware updates. I start a track and I see there are many dropouts in the master and in the heardphone outputs (every second). This happens also with traktor and with windows sound (wdm driver tested with iTunes). I have just tried to increase the latency but nothing. So I unistalled itch 2.1 and the 2.9.13 Xone Driver and I reboot my pc. Then I installed the itch version which I found with the controller ( ITCH 1.6 and 2.8.40 Xone Driver). After the pc reboot I connected the Xone so I start to mix. All works fine, without dropout.
I can't understand why there are dropout only with my pc and 2.9.13 Xone Drivers.

My computer spec
HP Pavillion t540.it
AMD Athlon 64 processor 3000+
2.00 GHZ, 1.50 GB of RAM
Windows XP 32bit

Cheers.

Hi pima~,

Firstly, you are running an AMD processor which are unsupported unfortunately as they have known issues with live streaming audio applications. This could be related to why you are getting such bad performance in current versions of ITCH. You are also sitting just above the minimum required specs to run ITCH, it could be that because the older versions are less CPU heavy that you have been running into less problems.

Having said that, since you have had no problems using 1.6 there might be some troubleshooting we could do to try and get 2.1 working for you.

Could you please perform a RATT report and upload the results to the thread? You can find instructions on how to do this here:

Can you also let me know if you change the buffer size in the setup screen if it has any effect?

Sam.
