Hello! At first, sorry for my bad english, but I have problem with NS6: when i mixing (I use Serato ITCH 2.1), the sound on the controler from time to time disappears. It happens for not clear reasons - sometimes during one action, sometimes during another - for example, during loading of a new track, sometimes in a usage loop section, or muving crossfader. I use a new HP laptop Intel* processor 2.5GHz Core 2 Duo 3MB L2 cache 6GB RAM, and I download and install the lastest driver from Numark site for the controler. It seems to me, it is enough of it for use the NS6, but I still have problems. Please, help Me!

Hi Dmitriy,
Have you analyzed all your files and ensured none of them are corrupt?
Do you have any other USB devices connected when using the NS6 with ITCH? An external drive perhaps?
When this issue is happening does the sound distort or does it completely drop out? Do the waveforms on the screen disappear as well?

Hello!
At first, thanks for fast answer!
For your questions:
1. Yes, I analyzed all my files, it’s OK.
2. No, when I mixing, I use only NS6 (without external drive), and it was connect to USB port alone.
3. When the sound disappeared, I have silence everywhere (on headphones and monitor), the waveforms on screen stopped.
p.s. After reading Serato forum I understand, that I’m not only one, who have a “drop out problem”, so after my experiments, when I turned off Bluetooth module on laptop (but forget turned off WiFi), I have only one short drop out during 2-2,5 hrs. of playing. Today I plan to disable both wireless modules, disable power saving mode on laptop and try mixing. I hope the problem goes away.
p.p.s. About ITCH 2.1. I used VDJ before ITCH, and when I buy the NS6, I try to use ITCH, and I find, that ITCH in 4-decks mode is not as comfortable as I hope – standard HD 16:9 screen (1366x768) on My second laptop doesn’t contain all interested information in same time (including playing decks, waveforms, FX panel , SP6 player and music library in one screen) – too little space is left for music library. Use the controller’s «View» button every time during the mix is very uncomfortable for me, because when I switches between different screen modes (for example, to choose next song) when I playing, I lost main information about working decks for a few seconds – I must «find» it in a new place on the screen every time.
So, I think, that it would be great, if in a next versions of ITCH I can choose how many decks I want to use (2 or 4), and if I don’t plan to play my mix in 4-deck mode, I can disable other 2 decks for visualization more necessary information, or, for example, virtual deck on screen must be changes together with a controller decks (by press a «Layer» button), and change his colors.
Probably (like other variant) in 4-deck mode – to display main ITCH window in 4:3 screen resolution, and arrange other elements (for example, FX section and SP6 player) on the free parties of basic ITCH window.
Thanks.

Yes, my next suggestion for you would be to go through our PC optimization guide here: serato.com
This will ensure your computer is optimized for maximum performance with ITCH. Let me know if anything improves for you after going through this.
Also, yes I agree that it would be nice to have a 2 deck display mode option to have more screen space on library. This is something we would very much like to bring into ITCH in the future sometime. I couldn't say for sure when though.

Hello!
Yesterday I try to play without working wireless modules and power saving mode on my laptop, and, unfortunately, during the 1.5 hours I had a one drop out for 2 seconds when the sound disappeared and the waveforms on screen stopped.
Today I will try to optimize my computer and tell you about the results.
p.s. By the way, when using the controller, I found a new bug: sometimes (right now I can’t say how often) the FX-parameter of the right deck (only) change his level from max position to aprox. 60% (I saw it on the FH-parameter LED’s - from 11 to 7) when I load a new song on the left deck, and both FX-Section are working on 2 decks together. It does not matter what kind of effect is switch on.

Hi Dmitriy,
So has the performance improved from before? Yes let me know how it goes after optimizing your computer.
Regarding your FX parameter bug, will this just happen completely randomly? It changes from 100% to 60% without you touching it at all? Do you select a different effect for this to happen?
Are you able to make a video of this happening?

Hello Martin!
Yesterday, after PC optimization I didn’t have any dropouts! But… I didn’t optimize setting only in Win7, also in the ITCH. Now I can’t say, what exactly help me, but I'll try to figure it out - turn off the settings, that I made, one by one and play. It will take some time. I will inform you of the results.
About FH parameter bug. Yes, this happens with different effects, and only on the right effect section. Yes, I agree that It changes from 100% to 60% without any touching or moving. Today I will try to make a video.
Best regards!

Ok well thats good to hear! I guess that would be the best way to single out the factor that most contributed to the improvement.
Thanks, it would be great to see a video, as I have not seen this myself before.
Cheers :)

Hey Dmitriy, thanks so much for that video!
I have managed to recreate this bug on ITCH 2.1, and have verified that it is fixed in the next version of ITCH :)
I couldn't say for sure though when exactly it will be released at this point though.

Hello, Martin!
In addition, I can say that this bug also happens if I move the Deck A pitch level when both decks in sync mode.
Best regards!

I can't seem to have that happen for me.
Are you able to make another video perhaps?
I load deck 1 and 2 with tracks and have them in SYNC, I then turn the FX parameter to maximum and change the effect. Then I move the deck 1 pitch up and down but there is no change to the FX parameter.

Thanks Dmitriy, again, I appreciate you making the video for me :)
I managed to recreate that bug also now.
It appears both these issues have been fixed in ITCH 2.2, which is now in public beta, so I invite you to give it a go. Please read the terms and conditions before using the software, and keep 2.1 installed on your computer for the mean time :)

You will find the builds in one of the sticky posts at the top of the forum. Let me know how you go!
