Need help properly setting up my technics mk5

i currently have one mk5. (i have a rane ttm56 mixer) This is how it is setup:
From the technics mk5; red and white cable to the serato box input number 1
the thin wire hooked into the back of the mixer, the end with the aluminum i believe that is to ground the mixer)
Serato 4 box, i switched the four white things up to phono
outputs both 1 and 2 are plugged into back of the mixer (via audio cables) in the phono 1 and 2

when i turn on the mixer, it already has the stylus on and the vinyl serato provided me with. i turn on my mac and go right into serato> setup> and i do not see any green rings just a small green dot.
what am i doing wrong?

Make sure Your Source is correct.. and If you Put everything on Phono on your Sl-4 Open -up Your Scratch Live Program and go into Settings and change your audio output..Id play any track just to make sure if the mixer is receving sound before you make any changes..

You should connect the outputs from the SL4 into Line or CD inputs on your mixer, not phono.

Input to SL4 > phono
Output from SL4 > line

Change that and then you should get sound.
