Hello,
I am new to Serato Itch and I have recently purchased the Denon HC-5000. I love the hardware/software combination. My question is do I have to analyze files? And if so, how do I go about this? I have upgraded to Itch 2.1.
Thank you.

Hey DJ Lalit,
It's best to analyze files before playing round with your Denon HC-5000, best thing to do is to select all files within ITCH and drag them onto 'Analyze files' button on left side above playlists. This will analyze all your files for you.
Note: Do this in offline mode (in other words without Denon plugged in)
Let me know how you get on.
Regards

Hi Dave,
Thanks for your prompt reply! I am new to this whole digital dj realm. I don't recall seeing an "analyze files" option in ITCH. I'll double check and get back to you on this.
Also, I notice that whenever I close ITCH and re-launch it at a later time, it does not save my cue points. Is there something I am doing wrong or is this a result of me not analyzing my files?
Thank you,
DJ Lalit

Whats happening with the cue's not being saved is that Serato can't save to your Files for some reason. Are you running your music from an external drive?

Hello Dave,
I ended up analyzing my files and I'm good to go with the HC5000 saving cue points.
Is there a method to save and record my mixes in Itch with the HC5000? If not, can you recommend another method?
Thanks!

Hello,

Also, is there a way to create a playlist say for dinner music and I can let that run automatically?
Thank you.

Hey DJ Lalit,
There is no direct recording with the Denon HC5000 within ITCH however depending on the mixer you have you could run an output from the mixer back into your computer and use a 3rd party application such as Ableton Live or Audicity (free) to record your mix?

Thanks Dave W!
I'll try the suggestion above. I do have Audacity installed on my PC.
What about the option to create an automatic playlist, say for cocktail hour or dinner hour? If there is a option to do so, can you tell me step by step on how I would go about this?
Thanks!

Create a crate
Add music to it in the order you wish them to play
Once complete sort by #
If you have your Denon hardware connected all you need to do for continuous play is enable the 'cont' in the virtual deck you are playing from and the continuous play function will be enabled.
Does this make sense?
