My setup includes a Vestax PMC-05 PRO IV, and I am using one CDJ-850-K in Native Mode, with one deck doing instant doubles. I have a few problems currently with it but the most glaring one is when I have my fader closed so that it is just the left deck video playing, my right deck that the CDJ is on, I start to cue up the next song, and when I move the platter, the new video is starting to fade in visually (audio is fine it stays closed). When I looked at the V-SL tab, I can see while I am scratching or moving the platter the crossfader on the V-SL tab is randomly moving due to the scratching on it.

Also, on the CDJ-850-K when I use instant doubles, and I load up the next song and try to hit the loops on it for the right deck (the CDJ's position is right and set on Deck 2) the problem is it sets the 8 bar loops on the right deck, but also reloops any past loops I used on the left deck and cues back to that loop. I hope I have explained this right, its kind of a weird issue to explain.

The first one, is that your 850 is outputting midi as well as the HID control.

It must be on the same global midi channel as your mixer.

You can go into the settings on the CDJ and change the midi channel.

I know it can be done as someone else was having conflicts with an 850 and an X1. They were able to change the channel and that fixed it.

The second one, I've not heard of it before, but you should post in the Scratch Live help section as it's not video related. I'm sure the support staff will be able to help you better in that section.

Yes All CDJ's output HID/MIDI at the same time.

Yes i agree with phatbob, you mixer and CDJ are on the same MIDI channel. You need to change one. I dont know if you can change the mixer but i know you can change the cdj2000's so i assume the 850 is the same deal. I would change it to something odd, like ch 9 so its no where near anything else.

I had many similar issues, so now i keep a note pad on my decktop telling me what channels to change the MIDI channels of all the gear i use so that there is no conflicts.
here is part of it so you know what i mean.

Midi Info For BIG RIG
Change CDJ to midi ch 5,6,7,8
Change djm 800 to midi CH 4
DJM 2000 midi 13,14 (for codeE all alone video)

Hey Solidsnake,

Have you had any luck changing the MIDI channel yet?

Sam.
