When playing certain videos there is no actual video playing. The music will play but Video-Sl is blank. I believe it has something to do with the aspect ratio of the video. It only seems to happen with videos that are 1080p. It happens with stuff I both download from websites and when people ask me to play their music video and come with it on a flash drive. Its very annoying because I have to convert it and its both time consuming and takes up way more space than is necessary to do it quickly.

Also just wondering if there's an update to help out with the video from not stopping as well yet. I've updated my memory to 8gbs and it still does it. I can close Video-Sl and it reboots but sometimes it happens a lot in succession.

Sorry, but it doesn't take Sherlock Holmes to deduce the cause of your problems. You've outlined it yourself.

EVERY video file you put into Scratch Live MUST be encoded correctly.

If you didn't buy it from a trusted source, or encode it yourself, it shouldn't go anywhere near your library.

These videos play fine on any other program but Video-Sl the only thing I can see that relates this videos together is that they are all hd. I've never had this problem with standard res videos no matter where the source.

And sure enough I changed the aspect ratio on my video to no constraints and upped my usb buffer and my problems are solved. Thanks for the useful judgmental help Sherlock

Hi Mo Niklz,

Has this resolved the issue for you ? Are you still having problems playing HD files ?

If the files have been encoded correctly they should play in Scratch Live and Video-SL.

Let me know if you have any further questions regarding video-SL.
