scratch vs itch tracks

hi, i tend to use scratch for all the bigger shows with 2000's, and recently got a ns6 for house partys etc...i was happy to find that inch can see the crates etc and bring them from on e to the other, the other night when i was using itch i found

firstly the unit needs a few on/off's before all the functions start to work,cue button being one

secondly the tracks seem to have come across, but scrambled withing all the crates i.e hip hop with house

lastly the search button didnt work in the top corner which meant i had to indivally look for tracks on the hd

is this like a software thing..or is there really like a major differences in the softwares, im finding myself confused when using it, the pitch in the songs

then also is there a way to switch the screen from 4 way just to two way so the few times i move from one to the other is easier on the eyes?

Hey Deejayliquid,

You have a few questions here, hope to answer them one at a time :)

1:) Not sure what is going on with your crates, what version of ITCH are you using? let's try updating your version of ITCH. Also have you tried using your backup Serato Folder?
Music>_Serato_ rename to OldSerato and rename _Serato Backup_ to _Serato_ .
See how you go with that one.
2:)When you say the Search didn't work , could you see all music when you were searching?

3:) The software is quite a bit different have a read of the manual to get your head around it a bit, I know that coming from Scratch myself and starting to use ITCH i noticed a lot of different features and ways of doing things. Manual helps :serato.com

4:)

This isn't abled to be changed within ITCH using NS6. Can't say for now whether there will be a change made to this feature.

hey bro thanks for the reply, sorry to bombard you with questions

i dunno what it is that just makes me feel lost when im using itch,

1, i wanna rest the crates but i know that when you do that it literally changed all the 'track added' to todays date, so im not to keen like i wanna do that last

2, like when i fired it up some times i would have to switch the unit on a off few time to get the headphone buttons to work, that was fixed with a firmwire update/ the serach bit baffled me i could see the tracks in the crates and look thru but if i clicked on the search bit it wouldn't let me type anything in the box which ment i had to do it thru the computer instead

3, im gonna have to check out the manuel i was thinking it was the same thing? lol like a serato on the go

4, ahh okey that i didnt know would be a good add on for users like myslef

hi dave

the crates and the missing songs in them are still there when i using itch :-( what i tend to do is use sl3 for the big stuff and lil house parties the ns6 i only ever get song finding issues with itch kinda putting me off using it :-(

the problem with the ns6 was a basic software update sorry to have troubled you about that :-)

also at my last small party i had a couple of crashes i was running 2.1 just upgraded was there any changed for ns6 users?

ive just upgraded to it now im gonna try it over the following weekend and see what it does

it basically messes up th formatting but at a glance theres a chance it could be fixed
