Hi I have been using Serato scratch SL1 for many years now but last week made the change to total digital and got the Novation Twitch I very pleased with both products.

I did not bother with supplied CD at first and went straight for your new version (2.1) off your website as this usually is the best option with scratch after rebuilding my machine however after install and driver setup complete I fire up itch and the play and cue keys do not function or keyboard shortcuts for play and cue also the wave pattern is not displayed.

I left 2.1 installed and installed the supplied version (1.8) and all seems to work fine.

The PC i am using is fairly old but is only used for Serato so is a very clean stable machine and within min spec requirments and does not have usb 3

I have been on forum and it appears a fair few people are having same issue most dated Jan of this year so there is a common problem here by the look of it.

Can you please let me know when novation or yourselves will be providing a fix for this as I would love to get new version going 1.8 is running perfect for now though.

In 2.1, try going into setup > hardware and raise the latency. If the waveform is being displayed after that, lower the latency as far as possible and you are ready to go.
Not sure if I had the exact same problem though, but that solved it.

Try TOI's idea but we can also try and a few other things.
Let's look at one issue at a time, as they could be quite different issues. The wave form :

Q: Are you using an External Drive to play your music from?

We seem to be having this issue coming up a bit through the forum. See link: serato.com
Have a read and see if any of these other things are happening to you too.

Try TOI's idea but we will be working on this. There seems to be no known fix yet for this issue.

does anybody know how to set scratch live 3 up with the novation dicers so i can have access to ten cue points on each deck?

Hey K-Stakz,

This isn't currently possible, you're limited to 5 cues with each deck.

Hi This issue above has not gone away I am afraid to say but I am getting around the problem using mates laptops etc and still love serato.

However yesterday I ordered a new laptop as I want a new machine for both SL1 and Itch.

The laptop I have gone for is HP - Pavilion g6-1384ea this has one of the i5 intel cpu's and I have been reading a few horror story's tonight about this type of CPU with serato.

Could you please confirm if this was a bad move or have ms fixed this usb1.1 issue i have been reading about if you think it is a bad move i will simply send laptop back without opening package.

I do not want to replace my SL1 just because of a USB issue and i am mostly using itch these days anyway.

I want to keep cost of laptop around the £500 mark as well so do not really want the expense of a mac so what would be the best windows option.
