Loop recall doesnt start

Hello I found a post about this problem in october 2011
when i call a stored loop and i push "on" the loop highlights in waveform but doen't start...
You answered it was a bug of 2.01 and would solved in next issue
I wait for release of 2.1, but now that is out i see the problem has remain...
It 's not possible using loopin this way... Xone dx is one of the official consolle for itch, hoe can be possible that nobody have solved this problem?
Please help me...

Hi FrankyDJ,

Have you posted about this issue previously on our forums? Are you able to provide me a link of where? I am unable to find anything in your post history so I can get a bit more background on the issue.

Are you able to make a video of this happening so I could see?
Does this happens with ALL your songs, or just some of them?

Is the BPM correct on your song? Have you created this song manually or are you saving an auto loop?

I can't make a video, but it happend for all songs
the bpm is correct for all songs and happend for alle stored loop created with autoloop and manual loop....

I epxlain in details:
using xone dx
- I create an autoloop
- I store it with "shift" + "stored loop"
- then i recall the stored loop with "shift" + "slot select"
- in waveform loop is highlighted with "low light"
- pushing "On" the loop is hilighted with "high green light" but the the track continue playing and NOT go to start point of the loop as it have to do in "manual xone dx - explanetion" (manual for xone dx is only available to itch1.7)
- I think It works as you push "shift" + "on" (in manual explain that with this combination the loop highligt but conytinue to play)

There is no way to play the stored loop...
Let me know cause is an important bug for xone dx
I never used itch 1.7 but i thing this bug didn't exist in that version...
Thank for your help, let me know it yof you have any suggestio and if serato is working about this problem and is going to solve...

So just to clarify:

You create a loop, then you recall the loop, which makes the loop highlighted green, but it does not jump to the start point of the loop?

From what you have read in the manual you should be able to jump to this loop regardless of whether the playhead is before or after the loop, once you have recalled it. Am I on the same page here?

Yes is correct. Xone dx "on" when a stored loop is selected should work to play the loop from the beginning

No' matter if the track is playing before r after the selected loop, if you click with the mouse it jump at the begining of the loop and 'on' on xone DX grave to do the same..

Oh ok, I checked the manual on this section and it states:

Pressing SHIFT + ON will activate the loop. However, the playhead won't jump tot he loop start but wait until the playhead reaches the loop region before looping


If I understand correctly, the intended function is to NOT jump to the start of the loop when the loop is activated, it is simply only to activate the loop.

Alternatively, you could place a cue point at the start of the saved loop, so once you have activated the loop you can jump to the loop by pressing the cue point button.

I copy here what manual says:

"recall loops/loops jump
to recall loops press shift + loop select to cycle through all available stored loop inside inside ITCH. Pressing ON will activate the recalled loop and immediatly jump to the beggining of the loop."

what you have read "pressing SHIFT + ON will activate the loop." reguard another kind of command.

What doesn't work at all isn't comand "shift + on", but comand "on" (alone) that is the main function of the loop.

Your idea tu put a marker at the begining of the loop to jump on it will work but you can't do it when you create a loop "on the fly" while playing in club...

Remain the fact that pushing "ON" is the main function of the loop, and is a big bug that not working with itch 2.0/2.1...

I'm surprise that serato in three mounthes from release of 2.0 hasn't resolve this simply problem with one of his advisable consolle...

I think you have to talk with the devellopment team about it...

Hi Franky,
This function dont work from very first release of itch for DX .(1.6).
But you have a workaround for this:
1.press shift + slot select and find your loop number
2. press manual IN and while holding it press OUT
Now your loop plays from start and its ON and you don't need cue points for that :)

I can use this method hopin in the next itch's issue serato can resove the problem and will not forget about that bug.

Ah yes sorry, I see what you are saying. I will make this thread a feature request, and hopefully this could happen in a future release of ITCH.

In the meantime however, the manual is confusing and should be changed so I will look into that also.
