Updated versions of itch freeze and lag periodically on NS6

The version of itch that shipped with my NS6 runs flawlessly. However all of the updated versions seem to freeze and lag periodically. Any idea why this would be happening? I still use 1.8.1 for gigs because I never have an issue with it. Back to back 6 hour gigs last week with no hiccups. Meanwhile when I practice with 2.0.1 and 2.1 I get periodic freezes between 30 sec and 60 sec at a time. I get the rainbow on my mac sometimes, never with 1.8.1.

Have you rebuilt your overviews with 2.1?

No I have not. Would that fix the problem?

I believe it's recommended, particularly if you have any QuickTime files (AAC, Mp4 etc).

I will give that a shot. Thanks! Hoping I can get some other opinions/ideas as well.

Can anyone else offer some suggestions? Perhaps a mod? I did notice that the periodic freezes happen a lot when I try to drag and drop files or tracks.

What are your computer spec's?

Have you tried updating to the latest version of ITCH 2.4.1?
