No Sound and Waveform Disappearing

I am asking this question on be half of my DJ friend, as he is not very computer literate, here is his problem:

I have help him to convert all his video to MP4 with Handbrake with the Video-SL preset. 90 % of the video play perfectly, just only about 10 % of the video have problem with the sound. After converting and tested on his comp, it work, but during his gigs he wanna play the same video the waveform and sound disappear and just only video is playing.

I have search trough the Help section, i found is this 'IAM NOT GETTING ANY SOUND' treat, but the answer is 'I think we have resolved this one on the phone.'

Can i ask if can you post up here how to solve this problem.

Is your friend definitely using version 2.3.0?

Because there were a lot of fixes related to video files in the latest version 2.3.3.

I'd suggest the first step would be to download that from the downloads section and try that out. He'll need to rebuild overviews for all his files with that version.

A user just said that mp4's are corrupting with version 2.3.3. Just a warning be careful!

Hey Congo,

If you're happy to, update the software to the latest 2.3.3 version of Scratch LIve.

Also If you want to attach 2 of these MP4 files for us to have a look at. Hopefully we can help with this issue.
