...OK, don't get me wrong, I LOVE Serato, had it for many years now, BUT over the years I had to redo my database V2 file many many times. Is there anyway you can help me? My crates wont load again. I JUST had to redo my v2 file 2 weeks ago and again it wont load.
It's very frustrating!!!!!! I don't have the confidence to do any gigs anymore! and this is how I make my living! I even upgraded to a Mac Book pro , and had multiple HD's and still have problems with my crates not loading.

Hey Dj Nyce66,

Ok, let try and get to the bottom of this for you. Must be really frustrating for you, I'll do my best to help. firstly,
Q: Is it just the crates that aren't showing up or is the music missing too?
Q: Are the crates files in your subcrates folder? music>Serato>Subcrates

Lets start here, as we create a bigger picture of whats happening we will hopefully sort this issue.

Cool thanks. It is really frustrating. First, I got it back working. I had to open in 1.5 on my PC in order for it to load anything. I saved it, backed up library and it now opens in 2.1. Now , that being said, it keeps happening. So that is my issue. I have had to recreate my v2 file so many times on my PC and my new Mac Book Pro. Also I find a lot of my files are coming up corrupt when I know for sure they have been through the analyze process and have been on my hd for years with no problem.

Ok so to answer the Q. Itch got stuck loading crates. Wouldn't load any...beachball...
yes all my crates are in the Serato folder

Hey Dj Nyce66,

O.k i'm trying to build a picture. Is all your music on an external drive? Do you have a Backup Serato folder on that External HD?

Some on both but it seems to hang when loading the external. I also have used 3 diff hard drives as well trying to eliminate the problem. I have the serato folder and the back up on the hard drive. I re did my v2 file and it still wouldn't load ...until I tried to open on my pc with 1.5 version. the only stuff on my internal is my recorded through itch stuff.

Yeah thanks Dave LOL! All good.

Got too frustrating so I bought a new Mac Book Pro and a new HD. No problems since, knock on wood. $1200 later :(
