Sorry to hear you are having problems with Scratch Live and Video-SL. Lets get them sorted.
OK, can you detail the graphics card that is installed in the laptop also.
So this is the first Crash that you have experienced while using Video-SL ? It may not have been the Video-SL plug-in that caused the Crash as the plug-in sounds like it was still running.
Did you switch OFF wireless and Bluetooth on your laptop while at the Pool Party ?
Do you think your laptop may have overheated ?
Do you have the correct video codec packages installed to run Video-SL with DirectShow ?
We recommend using both of the following codecs for DirectShow for use with Video-SL:
* FFDShow
www.free-codecs.com
* Haali Media Splitter (MatroskaSplitter)
haali.su
Use the defaults when installing.
Note: If no codec is found, then QuickTime will be used to decode the video.
