After downloading the latest itch-version 2.0.1 on my macbook I followed the installing-instructions. The install- process runs without a problem until the end but after the restart I had to notice that there is still the old version of itch 1.7. that it is running (even after several tries).

go to the /Applications folder and rename the current ITCH.app to something like ITCH_17.app. then run the installer again and start the ITCH.app after the installer has finished. no reboot or anything is needed and nothing should change after a reboot or shutdown.
and btw, 2.1 is out. you might wanna get that anyway

Thx alot R-A-C. I just even had to rename the application and it runs fine. It seems that the hc5000 works as well with the update: no dropouts or other problems until now. Only the new sync-application seems to be a little more difficult than the initial version.

if you want sync to be as it's been in 1.7.x maybe simple sync is the right thing for you.
additionally you could use the first public beta which had a different sync habit

Hi Cherryman,

Are you opening ITCH from the dock? When you install the new version you might need to drag it from your applications folder to the dock again, in order to update the dock shortcut.

R-A-C is on the money though, thanks man :)

As mentioned, you can switch between simple sync and smart sync, in the setup of ITCH within the playback tab.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hello Martin C,

Thx for help! It works as well. The one thing with the sync I'll try it but in fact I've found that the simple sync worked very fine. Actually I don't see a reason for a sync-function that needs pushing more than one button.
