Sorry for the delay we have been really busy since returning from Christmas and New Year break. Anyhow, could you please detail the steps that you took for this to happen.

Were you dragging the new file from your Scratch Live library or from the Files panel in scratch Live ?

What type of file were you trying to drag on to the virtual deck ?

Did the file have any associations ? Can you attach one of the files to this thread ?

Have you experienced the same issue again ?

This sounds like it may have been a focus issue and for some reason Scratch Live was no longer the focussed application. Can you detail your full computer specs including graphics card please.

Do you switch OFF wireless and bluetooth at your gigs ?

If you could let me know these details and we'll take it from there.

it is a desktop computer with windows 7x64. 16gig of ram i7-2600 3.4gig cpu. HD drives. One for windows, one for video files. Both are new 7200rmp drives with over 1.5tb each. graphics card is my current short coming with a nvidea geforce 7600GS. I have no other programs installed other than SL and Halil Media SPlitter and ffdshow. I play videos exclusivy on this machine. Not sure what you mean by associations but I am having this issue when I drag file from the file list on the left hand side of Video SL. The Videos are all mp4 format and almost 100mb each so I dont think I can attach one for you.

Ok, do you think it could have been a corrupt file ?

Also, if this happens again try CNTRL + TAB on your keyboard and TAB through the open applications back to Scratch Live and this should refocus the application. This may or may not work for you but I have seen this a couple of times before.

Anthony, This is a common problem with many files, no specific file. I will try the cntrol tab trick

OK, you are running a large library: 2 x 1.5 TB drives and this may be causing the hang. Make sure the hard drive energy saver settings are set Never to go to sleep.

Let me know if the CNTRL + TAB trick works if this happens again. If so this would indicate a focus problem between applications.

OK as far as Hard drives go, the one hard drive is only for windows applications, and the second drive is for videos only. All videos are in folders by month and year, seperated into smaller sections for eaiser cataloging, I have some crash dumps I could send you. I will try and attach here.

I have downloaded the .dmp files and I will get a developer to have a look at them as soon as possible.
Are you still having problems with slow loading ?

Have you set your hard drives never to go to sleep ?

Have you rebuilt your database V2 file recently ? This may help as it sounds like you have a very detailed folder structure.

Could you try rebuilding the database V2 file and let me know if performance improves.

OK, I did this and will see what happens tonight, also have the new video card installed so hopefully some of these issues will go away,

I rebuilt the Data bases and so far it is better, it has done it a couple of times, but only when really taxing the system,.
