I have used 2.3.0 upto a month ago,no problems.Uploaded 2.3.1 the week i bought the video plugin and had extra ram fitted as my mac was running slower.All that was fine and then it started juggling my crates about,i resolved that.Each time i loaded a track and went back to load another track,it would freeze/buffer from 10 seconds upto a minute.To top it all off my crates were only have id'd..if i scrolled down or even typed in a word,a crate would appear with an empty grid.If i pulled the empty track/grid into the serato player left or right it would then analyze the track.I analyzed my complete hard drive again hoping to resolve the issue.Some of the crates are now sorted,others are not.It may be a corrupt video file.I have just reloaded 2.2.0 but there is no change.Any suggestions to repair would be appreciated.

Hi Jack Jones,

It sounds like your Database V2 file has become corrupt. Can you have a look at this article and follow the steps outlined for rebuilding your database V2 File.

Im not sure what you are saying here ?

Try rebuilding the Database V2 file and we'll take it from there.

Hi Anthony

I took your advice and that seemed to have sorted the problem..unfortunately the exact same thing happened again last night.Should i delete Serato and reload?

Im not sure if what you experienced the following night is related ? You shouldn't need to rebuild the database V2 file again.

Did Scratch Live Crash ? If so can you retrieve a Crash Log and attach it to this help thread please.

Do you use Video-SL Text and Image Effects ?

You could try re-installing the software but this may not help ?

Are your issues predominantly with video files ?

If you can attach the Crash Log that would help.

Hi

Video Sl was not in use,i have been playing it safe since i had to rebuild the database.serato did not crash.It just began re-tagging files.When it stopped i had to continue and got through using my history play list.I will attach a shot,may help.

Hi Jack Jones,

You may need to Re Scan ID3 Tags.

Open Scratch Live in the OFFLINE mode ( No hardware attached )
Select ALL ( Hold Shift + Left Mouse click ) the files that have lost their song info.
Now drag them onto the re-scan ID3 Tags TAB which is at the bottom of the files window.

Try this and let me know if the song information re populates.

Hi

I retagged all crates because each crate was just half filled.Serato died 3 times tonight during my gig..At this stage i am beginning to think my external hard drive maybe in trouble.I have had my Mac Book checked by the pro's and its fine.I deleted Serato after my mac was checked and reloaded it.I cannot continue to gig with this nightmare,any further suggestions would be appreciated.Gig tonight as in thursday and would like to have serato running back as normal!

Sorry to hear that :(

There is a Beta version of Scratch Live 2.3.3 which is a maintanence release addressing MP4 Tag Lib. This may help you in your situation. Would you be interested if I add you to the Invite Beta you could test this with your system ?

Let me know ASAP im in the office for another ten minutes :)

Hi there
I been having issues where, a vid plays fine one night, then i try the next night and it showing corrupt icon and wont play....could i be invited for the new beta pls? thx!

2.3.3 is available from the normal download page. Did you check?

Hi Anthony

I only started using Serto video since NYE again,took a chance but it was worth it.Unfortunately my luck ran out when i was setting up last night.This time it stopped displaying my crates so i scraped through going through my history.I am going to order a new external hard drive,maybe this could be part of the problem.Any other suggestions or bug fix i can try.I just bought the ns6 and loaded that software just to see would it display my crates and it did not.I am a bit bewildered to say the least.

Can I just clarify here;

Your Scratch Live crates did not appear in ITCH ? Is this correct ?

Can you try verifying the disk permissions on your internal and external hard drive and make sure that your security permissions are set to READ/WRITE.
