I just got started using my Pioneer CDJ-850's as HID controller for Scratch live, and it is a whole lot better then using the control CD's in my opinion. There are just two bugs I noticed, one of which I was told Serato is aware of. That one bug is the display on the jog wheel. It moves around very jittery during playback, not anywhere near as smooth as it was with CD's.
The other bug, which is more serious to me and my main concern, is sometimes the cue button doesn't work. If you set a cue point, then don't touch the cue button for a couple of seconds, you have to tap it a couple of times to wake it up. If I have to cue up a song in a hurry because the previous song ends quickly, and the cue button doesn't work the first couple of times I hit it, that could cause a pretty embarrassing problem. Are you guys aware of this problem? If so, when do you think we may see a fix for this?

Hey Blackdevil,
The second issue your having is also a known bug.
Serato is aware of it and is working on a fix. Hopefully it won't be long:)

Hi Blackdevil77,
is this only an issue on one particular deck or only when you have two 850's connected? I have just tried to reproduce this issue on Win 7 & Snow Leopard using one CDJ850 & have had no problem triggering the temp cue, changing it's position & enabling playback while cue is held. Maybe this is specific to something.

I actually just recently noticed it is mostly with Deck 1 (left) I have yet to really notice the problem with Deck 2 (Right).

I have the same HID Bug too in my CDJ-2000 , how can i fix it ?

Nothing we can do at the moment to fix it, it's a software bug that Serato is working on and when they come up with a fix, we'll get an updated software version to download that should fix the problem.
I found out quite a lot about the problem recently in a newer thread I made. These problems are due to the platter being very sensitive to the vibrations of the music so if you set a cue point and leave it while another track is playing on the other cd deck, the vibrations from the music will actually cause the cue-ed up track to move, changing the cue position when you press cue again rather then playing from the position you set. When you hit cue to cue it up, it's actually picking a slightly different cue point which is why it doesn't play the first time you hit it. Same goes with trimming loops. You'll see when your trimming on the visual that the grid actually moves around ever so slightly with the music playing, messing up your trimming. I've noticed that when I only use headphones with no sound system bumping at all, what-so-ever, that this problem virtually disappears. Try using only your headphones and see if the problem goes away. That would mean its the same exact problem I'm having

I have the Problem when i connect my CDJ 850 directly to my pc it only connects and shows select channel, but it won't let me.
I don't know why.
I also updated Scratch Live and the Firmware of the CDJ but nothing happens.

That is interesting, I'm not sure if that's a bug. What computer are you using?

It's been over 2 years since problem was reported and I'm having same issues with jittery display when using HID mode and losing CUE spot when vibration is present.
SMH! Serato!! ...Let's find a fix!!!

I know, it's been a LONG time! I wouldn't hold your breath on a fix at this point, I don't think a fix is coming for this.
