While I was playing videos from my external drive I lost electrical power. After I rebooted the mac and the external all of my crates had dissapeared.

How Do i retrieve them? Note, that I keed all my music files on the internal drive thru itunes and the videos on a external. I always back up my external drive everytime I put new video on it.

Im sure this has something to do with a database file.

Thanks for your help

Hello hype,

Try this:

Shut down SSL.
Open your external drive.
Rename the _Serato_ folder so it reads _Serato_1.
Rename the _Serato_backup folder so it simply says _Serato_.
Now re-open SSL.

Any luck?

In the future.. once you get your library back up and running I would suggest creating your own backup of the _Serato_ folder and put it some place safe.
If anything were to happen to your crates you could delete the current _Serato_ folder and replace it with your own backup.

Ok that worked like a charm! But now where are my backups? are they still automatic everytime i log off or do I have to reset the backup directory?

Thanks for your help!

I'm sure you've already got the answer to this but just so other know.
When you shut down SSL it will ask if you'd like to backup your Scratch Live again which in turn will create a new _Serato_backup folder.
