I've tried installing the video sl software twice... it seems to give me a 2.0 SL update and it cancels the actual video-sl installation, claiming that my version of quicktime is too recent.

any troubleshooting tips? thanks

When you install Video SL - it will display ScratchLIVE, Video SL and Quicktime -- all with a check mark next to them. Uncheck Quicktime and ScratchLIVE. Only select Video SL and then continue installing.

That should be it.
