I have just purchased the Rane Sl4. I bought it for it's ability to work with other DJ programs that utilize the SL4 Windows ASIO driver. It works fine with Serato Scratch Live 2.2.2, how ever I have a friend DJ that wants to connect to USB B.
To my dismay I have not been able to get the Rane controller to work with VDJ. I can see the Rane SL4 ASIO driver in VDJ, and can choose it in the configuration, however I don't get a signal in VDJ in timecode config.
Can you please verify if this is expected to work? Has anyone tested this and can confirm/deny is this will work?
I see there were issues with the Sl3 driver that prevented it's use on X64 machines when the driver was X64 (as it should be) but the software was x86 (Ie.. VDJ). I also see that you have released a new beta driver for the SL3 that fixes this. I thought this might be the issue with the Sl4 so I tried it on an X86 machine and still couldn't get a signal in timecode config.
Could you guys please confirm if this has been tested and if it works or not in your testing?

From what I understand you aren't using NoiseMap™ with virtual dj.
Have you tried setting it up like that?
Its good that the box is recognized and you can choose it in the config. That is most of the work right there.

First... Thank you for responding.
I am using the timecode vinyl the came with the sl4. When I go into the timecode config in vdj to adjust the scope, I am not getting a signal from the turntables. This does work as expected using the timecode code vinyl in serato however.
I'm hoping to be able to get this to work in vdj as a dj friend uses it and needs to hook into USB b using vdj. Sine I haven't been able to get vdj to work with the sl4 in any configuration I'm starting to think it is not possible.

yeah, I just tried for 10-15 minutes. Similar situation, I have a Scratch Live computer on Port A and a Virtual Dj computer on port B.
I see the SL-4 listed as output. I can select NoiseMap™ and select it to channels 1 & 2, even select the Serato control vinyl A or B in the scope area. Just can't get it to read the turntables. I'm asking the other guys to give it a go and I'll try more later when the phones are less hectic ;)

Is your box set up to 48k or 96k. I'm finding that Virtual DJ doesn't support 96k devices but they should have no issue with 48k devices.

I feel dumb. I thought about that previously but then never checked it.
That was it. Thank you for the help!
