The FAQ says 300ma but just wanted to make sure this would be OK before I blow my box up!

yea you can go higher your sl1 will only use what it needs

Going slightly higher on the mA is o.k.

I don't anticipate any damage or errors being caused by a 9v DC 400mA cord.
