I just updated my 2.4 version of Pitch N Time Pro to 2.5 Upon my first use, I see no waveform when I press "update waveform". I selected another sound and I think I've found the problem. Another sound shows a TINY little waveform. Can you add a WAVEFORM ZOOM button? Or adjust your display settings? The sound I'm trying to process is NOT visible - and that renders the plug-in useless to me right now.

I'm looking for the 2.4 installer to see if the waveform display is more usable in the older version.... but I can't find it. Is it available somewhere on your site?

Had the same luck with version 2.4. BUT, my suggestion still stands. Being able to adjust the vertical "zoom" of the waveform you are trying to process would be very helpful!

Hi timsound2006,

If you're using the Morphing or Variable Time-stretch Panel then there are sliders to the left of the waveform view that you can use to zoom the waveform. If there's still no waveform visible, try clicking the Update Waveform button at the bottom of the Pitch 'n Time Pro window.

Also, do you still need a link to re-download Pitch 'n Time Pro 2.4? Please let me know if you do.

Hi Michael R,

The "H" slide zooms horizontally only. The "V" slide zooms the resolution of the breakpoint automation only. It does not make the waveform taller - THAT's what I'm talking about. A quiet sound, like a piece of soft foley, is simply not visable. The only solution for me was to normalize the sound first, and then apply Pitch 'n Time. What I'm suggesting is another slider or way to vertically zoom the waveform's height in the viewing window.

And no, I don't need the 2.4 installer. Thanks for responding to my message.

Hey timsound2006,

Ok, I see what you mean. Is this the same behaviour you're experiencing in Pitch 'n Time 2.4 as well, or is this only in 2.5? Are you able to attach one of these audio files to this thread for us to take a look at?

Thanks.

I'm sorry I don't have the file handy anymore. Yes, the problem was the same in 2.4 as 2.5. The audio was a piece of foley movement...very quiet, peaking around -25 db or so. I know, you must think I'm crazy, but sometimes in post we work with files that are low in level... or I want to use Pitch 'n Time on the end of a sound as it is fading away. These are times when a vertical waveform zoom would be useful. Also, it seems like you create the waveform from only one side of a stereo file. When processing a sound with extreme stereo panning, looking at only one side is a bit awkward... a minor issue, but I thought I'd mention it while we're on the subject!

Thanks, Tim

Hey Tim,

Thanks for the feature suggestions, I can see why these would be useful. I'll pass these on to the Pitch 'n Time team.
