Hey

I need some help.

I have a setup looking like this.

I have the Xone:DX working as my default soundcard (disabeled the on boeard in the computer). That is connectet by the USB cable. And i have 2 moniters to the Xone:DX for sound. Now i want to use the Serato ITCH and Xone:DX to done online radio. And i have downloaded a free broadcasting program (SimpleCast) and added a test server i have acces to play on. I then have an optical toslink cable going from the Xone:DX back in to the computer. So i can set the broadcasting program to take the sound from there and broadcast it. That is what is says in the manual one need to do to get that SPDIF in/out working.

The problem is i am getting no sound back in the the computer. When i start a number in ITCH and get the sound over the speaks in the studio. But there is nothing to see in the program.
I have some dif. line's to chose from in Simple Cast. Both the Xone:DX and that SPDIF line. Bot none of them works.

Can you help me? is it the SimpleCast that does not with Xone:DX? or is it my mixer that is broken? And is there a better online broadcasting program then SimpleCast instead?

Serato ITCH program upgrade enabled the SPDIF function, not sure which RC it was. It was a recent release and prior to that, it was not functional. Can a moderator jump in and help??

Hey JK_aka.

SPIDIF was implemented in ITCH 1.7 beta Release Candidate 1 here: serato.com

Quote:
Xone:DX Specific
* Added SPDIF master output

Try using the latest version of ITCH 1.7 beta and see how you get on.
Note - the master output is implemented, nothing else.

Hey.

I have installed the beta. and i is working so i can still play music. But I still get NO sound back into my computer.... :s

When i go to the icon down in the left corner (the sound options) and open that. I hat set the Xone:DX to my defalut soundcard. And then i can set a recording line. What do I need to set there? I can se my mic. to the normal computer reacting when i say somthing. But i get not sound feedback in to the computer again for the Xone:DX :(

Sorry for the delay in response.

How are you connecting the audio from the DX to SimpleCast?
JK_aka 11:57 AM - 1 September, 2010
By an Optical Cable.

I wonder if the optical cable is still inoperative. I thought this was fixed with the most recent release as it was a software issue. I will try this later to verify (once I get my new DX) :)

The optical out is working. I'd suggest checking the setup to the broadcasting stream to see what could be stopping this signal?
