hi guys,
i wonder to sync my new "XONE DX" with a "NI MASCHINE"...could you help me?
I heard about an app JACOSX, but i don't know if that works for me.
My partner Joguet and I use XONEDX and we asked to sync them for liveshows but SeratoTeam answered there's no way...it's the midi clock? why is this not avaliable? We should use tracktor to do this? I need one solution to our sync problems, please. I can't undertand why we have grids and not midi clock or midi sync.
I have a "Vestax VCI-300", "VFX-1" and a "Serato Scratch Live".
oh, and bridge never comes....we are waiting since last year...too much.

Can't help you, but I think this would be sweet, too.

There is no way to send midi clock signals since ITCH is really built to be used with and only with the controllers it comes bundled with. I.E. they only want you to use the DX with the software. My suggestion, and what I have done myself since I need more functionality than just my DX, is to switch to Traktor Pro. Not only can you sync your clocks with it, but you can add in other midi devices and its more stable to boot.

Hi Jabato
As Argos implies, the Xone:DX is primarily designed to be a fully integrated controller for Serato's Itch application, offering users a complete 'one box/one application' set up for digital DJ-ing.
There's no need for add-on external FX hardware as Serato have built internal FX engines into Itch for this version of their app.
If you have suggestions for future feature requests, the Serato devs are pretty open to reasonable suggestions, so it's always worth asking, this is a new generation of Itch and one of the great things about the partnership are the possibilities for the platform to evolve over time; the imminent release of v1.7 already sees a whole bunch of additional features and application developments and you can be confident that Serato's response to user feedback means that a door's open for more to be added in future updates.
However, if you want to use the DX as the centre for a more complex hardware setup right away, you should consider other options - there are plenty available, Traktor being one among many others and this is something that will always be a subjective choice.
It might be worth posting in the Xone Series DX forums for more info about configuring DX for this type of setup, rather than here within the Serato forums - bare in mind that NI are a competitor here and that Serato are already working with Ableton on multi-application configurations.
Choice of application often reflects bias from one user to the next, though it may necessarily be a case of 'horses for courses', particularly if you're working at the bleeding edge, but Itch is, by design, far more intuitive.
As for stability, this can often more to do with how your system's configured and how it's used outside the DAW environment, but NI aren't without their fair share of issues in this respect, so be wary of 'throwing stones', but if you do experience problems, have checked all the advice from Serato on system setup and still have issues, check out the v1.7 RC release.
Hope this helps.
