After you saved it, go to the video fx box and open the options. Your image or text should be at the bottom of the list. You can load it in there.

Worst feature ever. It's just not working I have tried other images and txt. Does it only work with macs? You lost me here...
"go to the video fx box and open the options?" where's that at? u mean the transition video fx? If so there's nothing at the bottom.

You sounded on the right track so I gave you the short and sweet answer. I'll expand upon that more.
What are the specs on your computer?
What kind of video card is in there?
What version of Scratch Live are you using?

It didn't work with the demo or retail version. When I saved it there was no txt or image being displayed in vsl or my tv monitor. I just wanted to test it out but it just shat on me.

Nevermind I guess it only works with the 57 cause the effects slots on VSL are grayed out like I can't use them? Or maybe it's just a feature for macs.

Your computer is just below the minimum spec for Scratch Live. It is way below the minimum spec to run Viodeo SL. That is the cause of the problems. Your graphics card also doesn't have the power to run any video effects which is most likely why the boxes are greyed out for you.
This is not a computer that will run Video SL.
When you get the MBP, you should be able to do what you request just fine.

I can actually run video effects/transitions okay it gets laggy/slow when using two decks. I do not think it's the case of attaching a simple txt or jpeg I could be wrong thou. The middle bar's effects work alright. But the one's to the left n right are just grayed out like they are disabled?

If that computer runs Video Sl, you are pulling off a miracle. I've had higher powered machines but still under the minimum specs not come close to running Video Sl.
Bottom line though, you will need to update your computer in order to get proper performance.

you are correct, i'm a bit of a computer nerd and know how to tweak it. I actually run scratchlive 2.0 fine i use it in the club and haven't had a problem yet. Video-SL is for test puposes only

Well I'm running Windows XP Home Edition SP3 so little memory usage as possible helps. Is it ok if I make a video of my problem and showing how it runs? If I can do some effects and transitions I don't see why It can't attach a txt overlay or even jpg.

Bottom line, the computer is less than the minimum specs we require for smooth performance. Your machine is way under specs. This isn't something I would expect to work.

It should and I have seen it run the program well. With your knowledge of maximizing performance, I think you will be just fine.
