Dear Serato Team,

I found a file that causes itch to crash. The song will load but not play. The bpm value numbers come up scrambled and extended....

It was analyzed by ITCH 1.6 but is recognized as being OK even though it's not. I just need to know how to upload the

file so you guys can look at it.

Thanks

Hi Whitewhitelight,

Thanks for the file, I can reproduce the issue you describe. I've forwarded this on to our Test Team for a more thorough investigation, we'll get back to you when we know what's going on.

Hey Whitewhitelight,

It seems that the beatgrid for this file is corrupt and that's what is causing the problem. If you have a backup of this file I'd suggest you delete this one and use the backup. If you don't, there is a manual way to delete the beatgrid and make the file work again:

1) Delete the first beatgrid marker by using the key/mouse combo alt+shift+left click on the waveform.
2) Repeat this step with one second intervals between clicks to keep deleting all the beatgrid markers in this file.
3) When the beatgrid markers are all cleared it will display the correct BPM or it will say [tap] on the tap button (if there is no bpm).
4) Reload the song, it should now play.

Please let me know how you get on. Do you have any other files this has happened to?
