After a reboot and opening only ITCH and without playing any music etc, my ITCH freezes when I click "analyse files". I can force quit ITCH and re-open it duplicating the same error.

Hi Arti,

That sounds as if ITCH is freezeing on a very corrupt file.

Try this immediately after ITCH froze:
1) Go to: Home> Music> Serato/ ScratchLIVE
2) Open the OverviewBuilder.log file
3) The last file listed will be the one that ITCH crashed on
4) Remove that file and resume analyzing

Note, you might have to do this more then once, if you have several corrupt tracks.

Daniel

I have: Home> Music> _Serato_

Under there I go to OverviewBuilder.log file and it states "log is empty".

It doesn't even try to analyse a song, it crashes straight away.

I analysed all my files under ITCH ver 1.5 and it worked perfectly on all the songs. I'm unsure why the songs would be ok for 1.5 but not 1.6.

On a side note, is it possible to use the Xone:DX controller on two channels with ITCH 1.5? I'm a bit wary of version 1.6 at the moment.

In 1.5 there are no drivers for the DX. So I think, NO.

Ok, thank you for the information.

PPIP is right, the Xone DX will only work with ITCH 1.6 or future versions.

Can you please give me your system specifications? (CPU, RAM, free/ used HD space) Are you using an external hard drive?

Please also try this:
1) Close all programs
2) Open the Serato/ ScratchLIVE folder within your 'Music' folder
3) Rename the History folder to old_History
4) Rename the databaseV2 file to old_databaseV2
5) Open the _Serato_/ _ScratchLIVE_ folder on the root of your external hd, if you have one and repeat step 4
6) Restart ITCH and allow the library to load (it may take a while as SSL rebuilds the databaseV2 file)
7) Test your system after ITCH has finished loading

Does that help?

I had the same problem with ITCH 1.6 and I tried the steps in 1-7 and it appears that it is working. Why does ITCH do this?

Hi luckee_d,

The database file or history folder get corrupted sometimes. This can be caused by different reasons. We are working on a fix.
Resetting the database file helps in those cases.

Daniel

I've had problems with a swtich / dial on the Xone:DX and waiting for a replacement, once I get that I'll have another go with ITCH as there's no point at the moment.

Hi Arti,

Thanks for letting us know. I'll close that thread for now.
Just post again if the problem remains.
