If I have my audio cables hooked into the dx and to the amp, I plug the power in and can hear snap crackle pop. Is there a proper sequence? Shortly afterwards my master output LEDs stopped working and I had no sound output. I reset the profr and restarted the dx and was ok. The clicking us pretty loud when plugging the power in, is anyone else experiencing this? A power button would have been nice eh?

Also only the left half of my dx lights up when plugging power into the unit. Does anyones dx completely light up when plugging power into the unit? All lights work while operating so just wondering what other dx units are doing.

Well, I have bad sounds with the CRUSHER effect. I dont think it is processing properly and Serato hasnt responded either, huh? I just get the sounds when I plug in. Today my master LED's became inoperative and I lost all sound as well. I had to close ITCH and unplug the DX and then all was ok. I am beginning to wonder about this batch of the DX. I did have really crappy sound with my last laptop, so I bought a new one this week and it has been performing well. I think serato shouid redesign there Effects software within ITCH, Traktor is so much better and alot more solid. I hope Serato makes this a priority. So far I am not impressed.... Update patch???hint hint!!!

i have this problem as well - every time - even if i turn the master and booth volume right down it does this - as well if all the sliders are down - is this a DX hardware issue or a Serato one (actually come to think of it - im sure it does it before ITCH is started.....)

Hi luckee_d,
Are you turning your amp on after you plug in the DX etc?

Hi Samuel S,
I usually have my amp already on. It just sounds pretty bad, I assume that if my amp was off then I would not hear that noise. As long as it is a normal DX characteristic and it is not harmful to the unit (sounds destructive) and not a defect, I think I Can live with that.

That popping sound is normal in all audio gear if you are plugging things on while your amplifier is turned on. It is not harmful to the unit plugging it in this way but it is harmful to your speakers so i would suggest turning your amp on after everthing is plugged in and turned on.
