It even cuts out all sound dependant on the settings? What are the optimal setting for that sound effect, maybe I can test it out??

Do you have your beatgrids set up? Could you make a recording of this possibly and upload it so we can have a listen? As cnewton has said though, the "crusher" effect should process the audio to sound distorted and crackly normally.

From listening to that it seems like there is no problem. That is what this effect is meant to do. Here is a link which explains what the bitcrushing effect does if you would like to read about it:
