Product: video-sl
Computer: mac
OS Version: 10.5.4

I have a Power Mac G5 Quad-Core 2.5 x 4 with 8gb Ram a Graphics Card GeForce 6600 256mb NVIDIA 1280x1024 @ 75hz 32bit Color...
I've been using SSL on this machine for a year with no problems and then I installed VSL and worked flawless, I loved it and right before I was ready to Mix video in my club I started to get a Green type of backround on all the videos VSL!!!
I'd like to mention that this Power Mac was not internet connected when I installed the software and just recently update the whole system... then I realize that as a bundle in the VSL Full Installer is Quicktime 7.5 included.. And my Mac updated to latest so I tryed to go back to older version and wouln't let me... So I got my copy of Leopard OS X 10.5.4 and reformat the Machine and installed VSL full installer again and still have the problem... Seems to be something with software compatibility and internet related My graphics card is Ok because I tried it with my TV playing the same videos I use for VSL ( Converted By Handbrake with VSL preset ) with Quicktime 7.5 on the secondary display and they look fine... Even the offline player looks with the same green washed picture!!!
I'm tired, I spend all day yesterday and part of today trying to solve this issue and I need help now..
Appreciate you quick responses. DJ Mafia

Hi djmafia,
Green in your video ouput usually results from the graphics card driver. You may need to download the latest Leopard update (10.5.8) to update your graphics card driver and see if that helps. If that doesn't work, please let me know.

Hi Michael,
Thank You for your help and suggestion about the system update.
I follow your instructions and actually it was quite of "out-of-update"....
So I ran software update twice and it did a few ..
But didn't solve my problem..
So, what's next now?
Any other suggestions?
Thanks again for your support.

Hey DJ Mafia #1,
I've just taken a look at your system specs again and I see that you're running a G5 machine. This is below the specs for using Video-SL (we support Intel machines), the reason being that Apple no longer release graphics card updates for G5 machines. With that said, we may still be able to get it to work :)
First I'll need you to download movieinfobatch, you can get this here -> www.serato.com (click link). Once downloaded, run it and the movieinfobatch window will open. Tick the "Video-SL Debug Panel Enabled" option then open Scratch Live and Video-SL. The Video-SL panel will now show the Debug panel to the right. In here you will see the yuv422 dropdown box. Click it and select "one" - does the green go away? If not, click and select "off" - now does the green go away?
Please let me know how it goes :)
