I'm going to buy a new mac book pro and i need to know if 2.25GHZ is enough to run Video or do I need a 2.5GHZ?
arandomdj 3:54 AM 21 March 2010
more than enough i've run the video sl on my 2.53 intel mac, the issue is not the processor in this case is the graphic card and dedicated memory to graphics.

Hi L Roc,

arandomdj is correct :) What are the rest of the specs of the computer you're thinking of getting?
L Roc 6:42 PM 22 March 2010
The Specs are:
* 2.26Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor
* 2GB DDR3 memory, Expandable to 8GB
* 160GB 5400RPM SATA hard drive
* NVIDIA GeForce 9400M Graphics with up to 256MB DDR3 Shared Memory

What you you Think?

It's above the minimum specs, so you should be fine. The only thing that I'd note is that the graphics card has no dedicated memory, it's shared with the CPU, so you might not get use of all the Video-SL effects.

What it i update the Memory to 4GB or can I upgrade to Graphic card?
L Roc 11:18 PM 22 March 2010
do you think these specs are better?

13.3-inch LED-backlit glossy widescreen display
4GB memory
250GB Hard Drive
8x SuperDrive (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)
SD card slot
Built-in 7-hour battery
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics

They look pretty much the same, apart from the extra RAM. If you want a Mac with a graphics card with dedicated RAM you'll need to look for one with the NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT graphics processor. But as I said, the other one will be fine but you may be limited on some Video-SL effects.
