I am having a bandwidth exceeded issue with my rane sl1 when its plugged into my system. I am using an Alesis Multimix 8 usb mixer for my playback and leveling, which is then sent to my e-mu 1212m internal sound card. Why am I having these issues and how do I allot more bandwidth for the serato and my alesis to share their resources nicely? It is really disappointing me and I just need an answer, please help. Thanks

Can you try hooking the Alesis mixer to the outputs of the dj mixer instead of using the USB. Or whAt is the reSoning behind your current setup?

NO i CAN HOOK IT UP THRU THE RCA CONNECTORS, INFACT I JUST FOUND OUT ON ALESIS SIGHT THAT APPARENTLY THE ALESIS MIXER DOESN'T COMPAT WITH MY WINDOWS XP PRO 64-BIT ANYWAYS, SO ITS GONNA HAVE TO BE CHANGED ANYWAYS. THE REASONING BEHIND THE SETUP CONFIGURATION I HAVE GOING IS THAT I AM ACTUALLY MORE OR LESS PLAYING AROUND AND LEARNING THE EQUIPMENT BEFORE I START RENDERING MUSIC AND WITH THE ALESIS USB MIXER IT AUTOMATICALLY WILL SET ITSELF AS THE SOUNDCARD AND ALLOW ME TO JUST PLUG ALL MY INSTRUMENTS, (MIC, KEYBOARDS, BEAT MACHINE, ETC) AND MYSPEAKERS AS WELL AND RENDER MUSIC LIVE LIKE THIS. I AM A LITTLE CONFUSED ON WHAT MY EVENTUAL SETUP WILL BECOME AND MY NO EXPERIENCE IN AUDIO SETUPS BACKGROUND WILL MAKE IT ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE OR NOT? JUST ANSWER ONE QUESTION, WHAT IS CAUSING THE BANDWIDTH OVERCEEDURE AND WHATS THE FIX TO ALOT MORE OR IS IT EVEN POSSIBLE?

Hi agentacer,

The "bandwidth exceeded" message means that the USB ports on your computer are unable to handle the data being sent from the USB devices. Try connecting to all your available USB ports and using external power supplies for the USB devices to lessen the load on your computer.
