recently when i try to delete crates once i restart itch the crates reappear.

an error line shows up that says remounting external hard drive and restarting scratchlive to fix the problem ... ????

What format is your external hard drive in? Please make sure you have 'read and write permissions' for your ScratchLIVE folder on your internal and external hard drive.

To check your permissions:
1) Right click the folder
2) 'Get info'.
3) Everything in each category should be 'Read and Write'. If not do the following:
4) In 'Sharing & Permissions' --> 'Details' unlock the tiny lock.
5) Set permissions to 'Read and Write'

Please also try this:
1) Close Scratch Live
2) Plug in your external hard drive
3) Open Scratch Live
4) Delete the unwanted folders
5) Close and reopen Scratch Live

Can you still see those folders?

thing is i am not using an external drive

so i created a brand new serato folder
created one crate
put one song in it
and it cannot be deleted
if i delete it it disappears but on restart of itch it is back

Daniel K it seems you were on the right track ... repairing my permissions in disk utilities seems to of fixed the issue for now
