Unplug everything from your USB ports
Go to Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Device Manager>Universal Serial Bus Controllers (there is an arrow you click that will drop down a list)
-right click each device in that list and select "Update Driver Software" and when prompted, choose "Search Automatically For Updated Driver Software"
-repeat for each item in the list, if any found new drivers, reboot when you're finished
Plug in the SL1 box and nothing else
Go to Start>All Programs>Serato and choose "Update Drivers"
If this doesn't work, you may need to wait for the new Windows 7 drivers when 2.0 is released. There is no date for it's release, but it shouldn't be too long now.

We have seen these type of problems with the i3 v/ i5 / i7 processors.
First try manually installing the driver. With the box plugged into the computer -
Start
Computer
Local Disk C:
Program Files x86
Serato
Driver_updater64 - Double click that.
If no luck try this -
Start
right click on "Computer"
Manage
Device Manager
Universal Serial Bus Controllers
You should see "Rane Sl-1 or Rane Serato Sl-3" right click that
Choose "Uninstall" BUT you also need to put a check mark in the empty box that says "delete the driver software for this device"
Then click OK.
Unplug the Scratch Live hardware, wait 10 seconds and plug it back in. Go through the regular method to manually install the driver and BINGO.
If that doesn't workgo back to the manufacturer and get a BIOS update. That has been resolving the issue for many people.
