Hi chrisrax,
Try doing this:
1) Ensure Scratch Live is closed.
2) Connect the SL 3 to your computer.
3) Click the Windows Start button and go to All Programs -> Serato -> ScratchLIVE
4) In there you will see the Update Drivers program, click and run this.
5) The drivers for the SL 3 will now be installed.
Does this solve your problem?
Also please note that Scratch Live is not yet supported on Windows 7.

Ok, can I get you to open device manager and locate the SL 1 driver (it should be in the Universal Serial Bus controllers section). If you look at the properties of this, does it give you an error message or code? If so, what does it say?

Hi chrisrax,
We've heard of this issue before, it seems to be a problem with the BIOS with the new i3/i5/i7 chipsets. Please take a look at this FAQ, try the suggestions and let me know if that helps -> serato.com (click link).
