Check it out guys, I am new to all this. I finally made the commitment to get Serato, but once I installed everything on to my computer I can go about 45 minutes playing music and then all of a sudden the sound cuts out, and my decks (Denon S-5000's) no longer will control the program. After which it completely freezes. I am assuming that this is probably my computer not being able to handle everything. I have an HP with 2gb of ram and I am running Vista. Everyone tells me that this should be enough to run Serato, I also use an external hard drive to hold all of my extra music. What do you recommend I do? Other than get another computer does anyone have any tips to deal with this?

If it is always happenning at the same time and you are using an external HD, make sure that you have set the internal HD to "never" go to sleep. Also, set your screen saver to "never" come on.

I would update to the 1.9.2 version linked below.

Once you have, Analyze all of the files in your library. After that finishes, make sure to remove all of the bad / corrupt files from the library. They will have an icon that looks like a cd with a crack or lightning bolt through it.
