Trying to hook up a Denon HC1000S controller, but it is not working in any shape or form with SSL 1.9.2 nor the 2.0 RC1 (20042). When plugging in to USB port, the Cue-1 light blinks three times. I've deleted the MIDI folder and AUTO-SAVE.xml files repeatedly (as seen in other threads with this problem), but it still doesn't work - not even with manually mapping it.
I've hooked it up to another computer (MacBook) and it works fine, so I know it's not an issue with the HC1000S.
I'm wondering if there is an issue with turning off any XP services, as I have turned a few things off, but have turned on anything and everything that I think might be needed for USB/audio services. I have looked into the Control Panel's Hardware Manager, and it DOES show up as a "USB Composite Device". Also just upgraded to XP Service Pack 3 with every single update available.

FWIW, I'm at a store I used to work at, and for schitts and giggles I tried another controller (Akai LPD-8) and it didn't work with 1.9.2 and 2.0 RC1 either. Now there seems to be a much larger issue at hand that I haven't a clue how to fix.

SOLVED!!!
The problem is an odd one, in that some Logitech webcam drivers are seemingly known to break USB MIDI devices in general, causing XP to see them as USB **AUDIO** devices instead of MIDI devices, rendering them useless to applications that want to see them as MIDI devices.
FIX: uninstall the Logitech webcam driver.
