Is the processor dual core?

Do you also have music on the internal HD?

Does the audio cut out during these pauses on the screen?

If you disconnect your external and just play videos from the internal, do you get the same screen pauses?
udi 8:04 AM - 11 March, 2010
i don't use videos
the gui freezes not the video

If you disconnect the external and play around some, do you still get the pauses?

How much free space do you have on both of your drives?
udi 5:11 PM - 11 March, 2010
i have 75gb of 253gb on D Drive (my music drive)
and about 200-300gb of 930gb on external

One thing that canhelp isif you have Analyzed all of the files in the library.

Do you have other applications open?

If you open your task manager, does Scratch Live take up 100% of the CPU?

Have you defragged your hard drives lately? That can always help too.
