Hi there,
ok im wanting to have some better controll over scratchlive in internal mode and have just been looking at the denon dn hc4500, this looks like a nice unit and look like it will do the job i need.
i just need some help on answering these questions.
is there a big delay on pressing buttons on the denon and it doing its thing in serato?
also what is the pitch control like? iv often herd pitch control over midi is a bit poor is this the case?
also is this reliable? as in will it fail and must stop or if it losses connection does int mode just keep playing the track but you just loose controll from the denon?
also is there anyone using this with windows 7???
iv got a new laptop coming this next couple weeks and it will be win7 :-(
i made sure it was a duo core as there loads problems with quad core. but i couldnt get 32bit had toget 64bit. So hopfully scratchlive will work. holding breath...
i do want to buy a mac but untill all the harddrive issues are solved im holding off on buying a macbook pro.
So if anyone owns the denon unit please let me know how you get on with it.
cheers Woolsey.

I've seen great results with that unit. We have one in here although I have never gigged with one.
The response time is good. i don't notice a lag time from when I hit play till when the waveform starts moving. It's pretty spot on in INT mode. The Pitch also seems no different in response than i have with my turntables aside from the tension of each of the sliders themselves.
Scratch Live is working for people using Windows 7 64bit. We have seen a few problems in machines that have the i3 / i5 / i7 processors but for the most part it has been something we can overcome.

ok cool sounds good, ya just this is really usefull as you can plug the cd draws of a denon dn4500 which most clubs have as a backup unit. So i can still switch to cd if i need to or IF the laptop crashed.
Just one more thing can you use the DENON DN-HC4500 and the DENON DN-HC1000S at the same time or would that just really mess thing up in serato? im not that botherd about having both hooked up its just a cool thing if you can.
Cheers Woolsey.

I imagine you could but it would be a little redundent. I had them both hooked up here for about 10 minutes and didn't encounter any problems with them.
