grounding noise

I'm hearing a weird noise coming through my SL. When i play the track it goes away. when the needle is'nt on the control record i hear the weird noise. It's from my right TT.

It sounds like you may need to re-calibrate.

Double check your right deck grounding cable. A while back I had a faulty wire on my turntable's tone arm, that everytime I put the tone arm down onto the record the humming noise would go away, but come back once it was resting on the tone arm clamp. I had to open up the turntable to fix the issue.

You could also reverse the channels on your mixer see it also switches and follows the turntable.

Thanks Zach S. I re-calibrated the TT and the noise is gone. Thanks again for the support.
