Ever since I received my Scratch Live, I was excited until I realized that the only music that I could play was from my I-tunes downloads that i have on ny computer. All of my music that is in my Windows Media player will not play at all or import to to scratch. I can see the files but can't play the music What so ever and I feel that i've paid money for a program I can't use and i'm not happy about it. I need some help and if you can help me please contact me at toosmooth_1@hotmail.com with some suggestions and I would rather talk with someone live that way they may be able to walk me through this process

What format are the files? Scratch Live does not support/play Windows Media Audio (.wma) files.

Scratch Live does not support WMA files. Those are the default file type for windows media player.
If you go into the set-up / library tab and uncheck "show all file types".
Now when you are in the files tab those WMA files won't show.
I'd suggest that you change the default file type inside of windows media player to MP3. Ideally 320kbps.
Then you can use a program like itunes to convert your current WMA files to an MP3 format.

Ok i've unchecked the "show all files types" and now the wma files dont show, but my music still appears as if I can use it. Also i alreay have my media player in MP3 mode but what I need to do or know is is there a way for me to now use my music I already have on my pc in scratch live period cause if I can't i've wasted my money with out knowing it and then i'd have a program I can't use. I am also in itunes and I need to know where to go to convert my wma files to mp3 format and are you talking about the ones that are in my media player already or the ones i've downloaded from itunes?

How do I use itunes to convert my files from my media player to mp3 format

I'm pretty certain that you'll be able to use your computer and Scratch Live together. It just seems like we need to get the right file format and then it will be cake.
If you can take your existing music on the computer and put it all into itunes, we can convert it there to MP3 format.
Before converting it, we need to check your settings in itunes. Go into the itunes preferences / Advanced / Importing. Here you can change you import settings to MP3.
Once you have all of the music in itunes, click on MUSIC so it shows you evrey song in the library.
Click a song so it is highlighted. Hit ctrl + A and that should highlight everything.
Right click on any of the highlighted portion and choose to " Convert Selection to MP3"
It will then start converting everything highlighted. Once it is done, we should be able to put it all into Scratch Live.
