My problem is my NS7 started chopping the music, then the platters stop working, this has never happen before, I was playing music for about 30 minutes, then the music started sounding strange, and now I couldnt control the buttons on the NS7 it wouldnt stop or start, it just kept playing chopping in and out, I shut everything down and restarting everything but it still do the same thing, it seem like it started with ITCH 1.5...I have never had a problem with my NS7 until now, I am doing a wedding soon, if this would have happend it would have been terrible. Can someone please help me. Thank you.
P.S. My NS7 was manufactured JUNE 2009.

I am using a Macbook Pro Unibody, 10.6.2 Snow Leopard... 320GB...4GB of memory....Itch 1.5...My NS7 buttons started flickering like crazy, the songs started clipping, the platters stop turning on its own...This has never happened before... I restarted the MAC and shut down the NS7 but it continued to do the same thing...Hope you can help..Also I uninstalled and re-installed Itch 1.5, now I have to analyze all my song again...Terrible experience that I am having...Glad I wasnt doing a gig at the time.

I did some trouble shooting on my own, it appears to be the NS7, I hooked up my VCI-300 and it ran fine, no clipping no lag, no nothing, everything worked normal, so my question is what do I do now, since it appears my NS7 has become defective, is there a way to reset the NS7. Thank you in advance.

I would recommend giving the support office a call tomorrow morning or when you can about this there are some steps we can talk about over the phone and via remote support.

Im having the same issue I have a macbook 4gb 2.4ghz. it was fine for a month then it freeze all the time do you have any solution beside returning the ns7?

Hi, did you install any new software its possible you may have a software conflict.

i retured it got another one but im pretty sure its good only for month then it will start to malfunction again , returning it was the proof that it was not my computer its the ns7 that has the problem. I dont want to see and hear any more from you guys blaming the computer if I get any more problem with the new one i will sue you for lost of income. I'll do every thing in my power to make sure that you will be bancrupt.

We where not ruling out any thing. We where just offering to assist check what the root cause was. Im sorry but if you dont want our help there is not allot I can do.

What about NUMARK do a total recall on NS7's fix the issues that everyone is having ...and if your not having an issue ....you soon will ..!surely its not all computer based problems...
or maybe just refund everyone's hard earned ca$h...

I owned cdx's ...world wide problems with the laser /cd mechanism, numark offered me 2 more after warranty ran out @ $500 each thanx numark....
I then purchased 2 hdx's ,1 firmware update offered ....numark dropped this player like a hot cake not long after its release ...it is now obselete...shame on me ...shoulda learnt my lesson...thanx numark...
I now own an ns7 that's not 1 year old and not working...it freaked mid gig...so did I ...I have spent two weeks talking with numark support about my problem....it's still on going and since I have had a lot of DJ downtime I have been looking at the pioneer decks ....funny thing is they seem to work and keep on working for several years....My mind boggles and when I keep buying numark gear ,I am comming to know my mind is playing tricks on me....what do I do ?

c) go with the market standard ...pioneer
d) go back to using 1200's

Sorry to hear of your frustration, I have looked into your case and call history and can see part of your trouble was related to you using the incorrect driver. You had called us on 3/18 and we suggested that you downlaod the beta driver for 10.6 as you were running an older driver which would not support your current OS. Did this driver work for you as I do not see you contacting us any further? Please let us know how you are making out and if you require further assistance, we are always happy to assist!

I finally got my diagnosis from Numark about my unit.....It was the diodes in the unit which made it shut down and act weird, I read in the forum that this has been a on going problem... apparently several NS7's got shipped out before it was fixed that what I was told by one of the techs...mine said July 2009, I am waiting to get mine back and test it out, hopefully they fixed it, because its not a good look when you are performing and you experience technical difficulties...I will keep everyone posted..

Sorry you had a problem, glad it was fixed. I think this is a separate issue to the driver problem. No more of the bad units are currently in the field. They where removed from the dealer network.

This happened to me at a GIG last nighT!! macbook pro 2.4ghz 2gig ram, external hd with the music running snow leopard.I lost control of the platters and the music stopped for 10 seconds then came back on, I noticed a msg on itch like audio failed or something, it flashed then came back on. I could still set hot cues and use the play/pause button and even the sync button, but the lights for the NSFX shut off and the platters stopped. I Restarted the mac and it worked for 10 minutes until it happened again. I was using verion 15044 before this and never experienced this issue, this happened when I upgraded to 1.5? What should I do? I've owned my ns7 for a year now and never had this happen, but I need to know how to fix this soon because I gig every weekend.

@ djshem....my problem was the diodes, some of the NS7's were shipped before being fixed, so you might have a bad one, mines messed up about 6 months later...they wrote on the shipping label that they repaired the diodes, I tested it out once to see if it worked and it did with no problem, but I need to put some more time in on it, just to make sure...Call Numark they will probably have you ship it out to them, I received mine back in a week, quick turnaround...I hope this helps.

This is not fair for all the money we spent on this NS7 R2D2 Star Wars Machine that has a mind of it's own! We did not spend Chump Change on a machine that is not reliable! There should be a total recall or full refund because evidently this machine was rushed out on the market before being fully tested! My Reputation means a lot to me as well as other DJ's! The Technicians try to sugarcoat the issue, but no one who spends $1500.00 on equipment should have these kind of problems! I was dj-ing a party when The NS7 decided to change the pitch of the song,restart,turn off and made me look like a FOOL! Numark knows there is a serious problem with the NS7, because now they are making the NS7 platters as Single Models minus The Mixer! The Microphone also sucks! With a delay that make you sound like you're on acid!! When we upgrade to a machine like this we expect great things! Numark do the right thing and admit you made a mistake and refund us our hard earned money! because in the long run you will show your customers and future customers, that you stand by your products! I'am truly upset with this Machine so please stop blaming it on our Laptops!! It's the NS7 that is the problem! Thank You

Hello, im sorry to hear you are having an issue with the system and or software.
The V7s where created to offer flexibility not because there was a NS7 issue.
I would suggest speaking to support directly they will be able to assist you.
