I'm noticing once in a while I have a video that seems to play and "skip back" just on the video (not the audio). It's like its playing normally, but throws in a frame from a second before. I've used 1.92 + 1.1.1 and 2.0 + 1.2 VSL and noticed the same problem. Is it maybe a Quicktime issue (seeing that 1.2 installed newer Quicktime)? I never have any audio issues, and it seems to occur on videos from pools and videos from Itunes.
If I instant double the deck, it solves the problem (on the doubled deck).. That's been my workaround, but I'm wondering if the issue is maybe with the newest version of Quicktime, and I'm not sure if taking that new version of Quicktime will affect VSL 1.2 beta.
I'm using 64-bit Windows 7 and I know it's not officially supported but I'm hoping maybe there's a fix for it out there someone has found.

Hi DouggyFresh,
Do you have the latest drivers for you graphics card installed?
What do you have your buffer set to in Video-SL?
Finally, are you able to run movieinfobatch on one of the files you've had this problem with and post the information into this thread? You can get movieinfobatch here -> www.serato.com (click link)

OK I'll do that. I have the latest NVidia drivers (I installed them the minute I got the new laptop 3 weeks ago). Video buffer is set to 2GB (I have 6GB RAM). Latency slider is in the middle.
When I find another file that does it, I will write down the filename. It doesn't seem to be specific to a file, I've played the file one night and it's fine, and another night and it does that. It only happens maybe once every 20 videos, and instant doubling to the other deck corrects the problem.
I uninstalled the Quicktime that came with 1.2 beta and installed Quicktime 7.6.2, I'll see if that corrects it as well..

Yes, if you do find a file please post the movieinfobatch information into this thread.
If you're running 1.2, then Video-SL won't be using QuickTime - it now uses Direct Show to decode video on Windows. Take a look at this thread on which codecs to use with Direct Show, it may help with your issue :) -> www.serato.com (click link)

I used the Force Quicktime registry on 1.2, however, I'm still seeing the problem on the old 1.1 w/ Quicktime. I wrote down a couple files last night that did it to me, I'll run MIB and send the results.

Do you see this problem if you use Direct Show instead of QuickTime?
