FYI, drop outs are caused by other issues, try this troubleshooting guide: serato.com

Hi DJ ELL - what do your scopes display when you have these lag issues? (i.e. are you getting clean circles, and what is the tracking percentage reading?)
What is your USB buffer slider set at? And what are your computer specs? i.e. make, model, processor speed, memory (RAM)?

the usb buffer slider is anywhere between 4-6 notches from the left.
i have clean circles.
everything workes normal at with a 57 at the radio station but once i plug in the sl3 at home this happens.
got a new MBP over christmas. middle class 15" model so its not slow or nothing.

Do you have the dip switches on the SL3 set to phono? Have you tried switching these?
Do you have this issue when you are using the SL3's power supply?
Have you tried switching the USB cable and also using all the different USB ports?
Do you have wireless and bluetooth disabled?

what diffrence would having the power supply in do? never had it in when i used the sl 1.
using the same usb as i did with the sl1 and the other is used with a usb hub with i touch and stanton da scratch pluged into it.
wireless never made a difference at home (did at almost every show). can try turning it off and bluetooth is disabled.

Using the power supply lessens the amount of USB bandwidth that is drawn by the SL3. Also as the SL3 is USB 2.0 and not USB 1.1 like the SL1, there are differences in the way some USB ports handle the SL3, so you may just need to tweak a couple of things.
I would recommend trying the other USB port with your SL3 and swapping your other devices over to see if this makes any difference (don't use a hub with the SL3 though, unless it is powered).
Try disabling bluetooth and wireless to see if this makes any difference
Also, what tracking percentages are you seeing in the scopes? Do the tracking indicators above the virtual decks go red at all when you're playing?

the tracking indicators stay gray except for scratching (which is suppose to happen i believe).
i think it stayes around 30 something percent but doesnt stay still..
should be 100 i know. use to be 100 with the sl1 box
and the estimate button once help down swings the fader all the way over to the far left.

You might be looking at the RPM in the top right corner, which would be 33.3? The tracking percentage is in the bottom right corner.

The dip switch layout can be a bit confusing, you should have the switches which are labelled 1 and 2 up for phono, so they correspond with the order which the rca inputs are layed out on the box.
Just to go back to my previous question about the tracking percentage:
should be 100 i know. use to be 100 with the sl1 box
You might be looking at the RPM in the top right corner, which would be 33.3? The tracking percentage is in the bottom right corner.
I'm trying to ascertain if you're actually having tracking issues, or if it's something else possibly related to your computer.

do you have the sample player output selected to A for AUX? Please see the attached picture to see what I mean.

Have you tried new control records and/or different needles? This could be a tracking problem from the sounds of it..

Sorry I'm not totally clear on what you mean - are you saying you have to create a new MIDI preset to use Da Scratch each time you connect it? Did you have this previously saved as a preset? Are you using/swapping out multiple MIDI controllers?

Yeah it'd be interesting to see how it works with other turntables etc, or will you be using your home setup?

no. every time i load up scratch live i have to go to the midi section and hit load.
with 1.9 or the sl 1 it would load automatically.
and its also glitches and freezes up my midi controller and i have to restart both the midi controler, its software and ssl

It's possible something has become corrupted, preventing Scratch Live from loading the preset automatically.
With both softwares closed, can you try renaming the AUTO_SAVE.xml file, which is in the MIDI folder (in the ScratchLIVE folder in your Music folder). Load the Stanton preset again, then quit everything. When you relaunch, does the preset load automatically now?
With the preset, if you're having an issue with Stanton's software and glitching with DaScratch's platter controls etc, you may want to approach Stanton for help as this functionality isn't made by Serato or supported by us, so it's tough for us to know what's going wrong.
