2nd time i have posted this issue, the last one timed out lol.
every now and then when i am changing songs, any platter at any given time
when i pause it, can take anywhere from 5-10 seconds or more to stop instead of stopping instantly.
it does not happen all the time, probably 40% of the time i use the NS7.
I have the start/stop dials set to a minimum.
this also happens sometimes when a play a song, the platter takes 5-10 seconds to 'wind up'.
sometimes the crossfaders dont work at all and both songs play no matter what,it has nothing to do with the xfader contour, as i am aware what all the buttons/dials do :)
The only way to fix these problems is for me to exit ITCH and start the program again.
pls help!!

Hello, the motors can take a little while to spin down. You should make sure instant start is enabled in option. The loss of fader control sounds like a midi dropout what is your full specification?

its not the motors. when it happens it can take up to 15 seconds to come to a complete stop and the music gradually slows down/speeds up with it!! where is the instant start option found in ITCH setup???
its really annoying because it can be working fine then when i pressthe play/pause button it can take up to 15 seconds for the platters and music to come to a complete stop.
my pc is a brand new sony vaio
2.2ghz,320gb hard disk, 2gb memory with windows 7 64 bit. intel core duo2
i have had the ns7 for about a month and it was working fine for the first 2 weeks and had gradually been getting worse. it is definately not normal.
why would the midi drop out be happening?

If you have an NS7, there is an "Instant playback" option in the "GENERAL" section of the "PLAYBACK" tab, if this is not there for you, could you please upload a screen shot?
You should be running itch 1.1 or greater to get this option.
If your NS7 is not obeying the start time setting then I would recalibrate your NS7 to see if that fixes it but the Instant playback option is to bypass the platter start time completely.
You need to make sure for this however the start stop times are set to the minimum.

Please verify that your start/stop controls are set to minimum its important or instant playback will be ignored. You may wish to recalibrate your unit to make sure that the zero point is accurate. Recalibration is described in the manual under troubleshooting.
