High pitched noise coming from turntables

I have a high pitched noise coming from the turntables when the needle is on the record. You can hear it best when you have the needle down on one table but the fader to the other table (the sound comes from the internal speakers on my technics). This is driving me crazy. I recorded a session and there are these high frequency tones that appear faintly from time to time. I was planning on using scratch live at my club next week, but am nervous now. Any ideas?
As for set up; I am using two tech 1200's, a pioneer djm 600, ortofone nightclub cartridges (I sometimes use the "dj" ones), my scratch live is powered via USB, and a dell inspiron 5150 P4 3.2 with Hyperthreading and 1 gb of ram.

You could be hearing the actual tone on the control vinyl...

...and if you can hear it on your mix, you might have bleeding from your crossfader.

...or, it could be something else completely.

What kind of pickups do you got, man?

I'm confused....are you talking about your Technics turntables?

Maybe he has a Ford F-150?

LOL. That's the sound coming from the engine...Shouldn't be high pitched though ;)

It's not the cross fader or the engine; the sound only occurs when I use scratch live, not with regular records.
What do you mean "pick-ups"? Do you guys hear a high pitched whine?

Depends...I can hear a sound like that coming from the cartridges when I'm just playing around with my tables at home.

I said it once before and i'll say it again - it's the actual sound of the control vinyl... flip the mixer to 'phono' (with the 'thrus' plugged in) and you'll hear the same sound amplified.

This is normal.
