I get this high pitched glitching sound when im playing tracks.
I have an intel chipset. This is the second 64-bit laptop that has had the same problems. I know the w7 drivers are coming out soon do you think that will fix the issues? any suggestions?
thanks,
Kevin

When I received my laptop it was updated by the guys at the shop so I assume thats
not the problem. Has anyone had this problem with the high pitched glitching sound?
I haven't been able to find anything on this problem. Should I try another laptop?
This will be the third laptop I've tried if I exchange again. I have a 32-bit Desktop with Vista and an AMD Athlon processor which runs fine. Any suggestions?
P.S.. any word on when the 64-bit Windows 7 Drivers will be available?

I don't think trying another laptop will help. I have the same sound occasionally with Windows 7. I haven't been able to figure out why it occurs either.

So you think I should be patient and wait until the drivers are supported or should I just go and buy a mac?

I guess it depends upon your needs right now. I'm gonna wait. I'm thinking that it can't be too much longer but who knows.

Happened on my 64bit Win7 HP laptop. Had to return it and get a laptop with xp on it from tigerdirect. It almost sounded like a low quality, high-pitched flanger effect. I TRIED EVERYTHING for almost 2 weeks till I had to return it, I couldn't even install my legal XP copy on it.

I uninstalled itch and did a fresh install of the 1.5 release candidate. I normally get the distorted sound about 5 minutes into mixing on the NS7 and then every 5-10 minutes after that. I've been listening to a recorded mix for about a hour now and haven't heard the distortion at all. I haven't even disabled anything like I normally do. Wireless, Antivirus, etc. running at 1ms latency with no problems. My laptop specs are the same as Kmansanders above except my laptop is a Toshiba. Keeping my fingers crossed and Knocking on wood.
